Gary Yourofsky brags about being the first to talk about killing carnivorous animals, and now he's repeating it in interviews with so-called “activists.”
These statements are extremely dangerous, especially given his reach and the promotion he's getting.
An eager hunter might feel encouraged to start killing carnivores, claiming it’s in the name of veganism.
This isn't a new topic—suffering-centered utilitarians have been pushing this idea for a while. But they never had the influence or the ability to reach people lacking critical thinking the way Yourofsky does.
He's repeated this in several recent interviews.
For example, with utilitarian George Martin on his YouTube channel Carnism Debunked, where he spoke openly about it starting at 49:15.
Also in an interview with another utilitarian YouTuber, Vegan Gains, he once again spoke about killing predators at 1:32:00.
In the interview with journalist Kerry Hopkins, he tried to walk back what he had said, calling it “just theory” and claiming he was being defamed.
That happened around 2:14:58.

These “activists” even go against their own supposed principles by staying silent about what Yourofsky promotes and by endorsing him as if he still represented veganism.
This is what happens when people idolize others, it kills their judgment.
Let’s be clear: someone who says animals should be killed is not vegan. No matter who they are.
Open your eyes. Realize that what you're defending and promoting is not veganism.
