Why is veganism an abolitionist cause?

For some reason, many people who claim to be activists for the end of animal exploitation still refuse to recognize that the subjugation of animals to the status of property, resource, and human instrument corresponds structurally to a relationship of slavery. As if this were a concept applicable only to humans, without any objective criterion beyond the most basic anthropocentrism. With this post, I tried to explain a relatively technical concept in the most accessible, clear, and honest way possible, because moral discernment should not depend on verbosity or intellectual elitism.
